"Here is a story my mother told me a while ago. My daughter went to Carbonear from Brampton last summer to visit my parents. While she was there, my mother took her to see my aunt who also has a young daughter. (They must have every Walt Disney movie ever released). Anyway, my daughter was amazed at how many movies her cousin had. My mom told her that when we were growing up we didn't even have VCRs and actually didn't even have a television set. She said that we didn't even have lights and we had to our homework from the light of an oil lamp. My daughter, who was eight at the time, looked up at mom and said her: ""Did you have to do your homework on one of those stones and use a chisel as well?""
