Savouring the Beauty of Holyrood

Holyrood is one of our very favorite beaches to visit. My wife Betty and I spend our winters in Florida, and it was such a refreshing change this summer to visit the rocky beach at Holyrood with its millions of pumbly brightly-coloured beach rocks to see and hear and the blue waters of the Atlantic to savour.

Mid-June we took this picture. It was during the time the caplin began to roll in on the shores there. We were delighted when we happened upon a young family trying their luck. The kids were so excited and seemed beside themselves. Caring guardians watched them closely.

It was a beautiful afternoon and strolling the beach Betty and I realized again what a paradise we had discovered. We come back again and again and never tire of Holyrood's natural beauty and gift from Mother Nature. God guard thee Newfoundland and Labrador.
