Savouring the Beauty of Holyrood
Holyrood is one of our very favorite beaches to visit. My wife Betty and I spend our winters in Florida, and it was such a refreshing change this summer to visit the rocky beach at Holyrood with its millions of pumbly brightly-coloured beach rocks to see and hear and the blue waters of the Atlantic to savour.
Mid-June we took this picture. It was during the time the caplin began to roll in on the shores there. We were delighted when we happened upon a young family trying their luck. The kids were so excited and seemed beside themselves. Caring guardians watched them closely.
It was a beautiful afternoon and strolling the beach Betty and I realized again what a paradise we had discovered. We come back again and again and never tire of Holyrood's natural beauty and gift from Mother Nature. God guard thee Newfoundland and Labrador. We are truly blessed in this province.
