The best Strips, Chips, Dressing and Gravy on the north shore
I hope it never closes and stays open forevermore
Where many a teenage girl learned how to clean and mop (I sure did!)
And the art of swirling a custard cone so that it didn’t flop
Everything they cook and make is oh so good
After working there myself the cleanliness and perfection is understood
Their fried chicken, battered fish, and cheeseburgers are also the best
Because I could eat there every day, I am biased I confess
I remorsefully remember my father hitchhiking in a winter storm
In order to get Hogan’s while we waited patiently all cozy and warm
When I visit home I have to have Hogan’s three to four times at least
Or it's not a successful visit and the number next time will be increased
News of our mother visiting is a welcomed joy
Because she also brings Hogan’s for every girl and boy
Yes Hogan’s is my favourite takeout can’t you tell
