HMCS Pictou
My husband, Douglas Paul Martin, was on the corvette HMCS Pictou during the war, doing convoy duty from St. John's to Halifax, Boson, Staten Island, N.Y. to Liverpool and Ireland and other places. His ship was rammed and was in St. John's harbour for repairs. The hole was right through the ship. They stayed at camp in Donovan's, Topsail Road. He passed away here in Ottawa on May 13, 2012 at the age of 90. Submitted By: NULL
