"i sit and look around me , and beauty is all i see. the history that surrounds us, it's unbelievable to me. there's bonavista, where cabot sat on the shore, listen for a minute i'll tell you even more. marconi was the man who sat upon our hill, when we recieved our wireless, it was quite a thrill. there's l'anse aux meadows where vikings used to be , and if you go there now, their houses you will see. there's captain bob, and hawthorne cottage is where he's said to be, he was the greatest captain of the cold hard sea. then there's cape spear , where the light keeper stood upon the top floor. he protected all the boats comming into shore. port aux choix is in northern newfoundland, it's the home where natives used to stand. the beauty of our island it doesn't end right here, it goes on to our parks that are looked after with great care. the ocean, the ponds, the mountains and more..... you can find it all here , i am quite sure. i can go on forever like this , telling you of all the beauty and bliss . it surrounds me everywhere i go. these are just a few things about newfoundland i thought you should know. by coady clarke" Submitted By: NULL
