Hidden Insight
Quiet wisdom cleverly concealed
Behind his wrinkly brow!
He couldn’t read; he couldn’t write
But he made it through life somehow!
He drank from nature’s purest springs
Where the waters were cool and clear!
And lived his life in harmony
With all that he held dear!
His deep respect for nature’s gifts
And his love for God and man,
Gave him enlightenment few achieve
Or would even understand!
The simple things meant the most to him,
Not a penny did he possess!
Yet he was wealthy beyond belief,
Though no one would have guessed.
My father’s truths were sacred to him,
But he shared them freely with me.
And gave me the wisdom to live my life
In peace and harmony!
