HEY WE LOVE THE BLUE JAYS!!!
Here we are at the Rogers Center in Toronto watching the Blue Jays game. My brother-in-law Fred Nash, (originally from Pushthrough, NL), his wife Marion and me Paulette Dicaire went to the game on September 20th. It was looking bad for the Jays in the top of the 9th...they were down 8-2 and the crowd was starting thinning out. I couldn't believe it people were leaving!!! MAN, this was my first baseball game and I wasn't going anywhere; I starting yelling at the Jays to pull their socks up and Fred said, "I don't think so, they have a hard time against the Rays". I rolled my eyes and said, nope they got this; I have faith. ...hahaha. Well by gawd they came back and put two guys on base and hit a homer and then did the same thing again and tied the game. OH wow they tied the game the crowd went wild we were on our feet I tell ya. It was two outs and the next batter up got a home run and won the game...well it was the awesome. They came all the way up from Nova Scotia to see them play and it was so worth it. What a game, here is a picture of us after the win...we had a great time and now we are on our way to Niagara Falls.
