I love getting your Downhome magazine on the computer. I live in New Zealand, which is about as far as you can get from Newfoundland. How I bacame interested in Newfoundland was I had a neighbour who was born there before the war. He left to join the war and flew with the Air Force in England. He loved to relate tales of life on the Island. Also, I have a penfriend in Nova Scoia who was married to a Newfie. He has since passed on. She started sending me items of interest from Canada and Newfoundland. I am a volunteer with a radio station here in New Zealand and on an Internet Radio station. I have a few songs from Newfoundland that I am able to play for my listeners. Kevin Collins is one of the popular artists that I have. I love the Irish music of Newfoundland and would love to have more to play for listeners. if posible could Downhome magazine please put out a request for me for material to play on my shows, if I have an email address I can even let artists know when their songs have been played or they can read on the web sites where I post my playlists.
