Headstone Story
While reading an old issue of the Downhomer, dated December 2004, I came across an article "Etched In Stone," about a headstone for a Ronald W. Terry from the Assumption Cemetery. I have some information I'd like to share with you. This man was a brother of my father-in-law, Mr. Luke Terry, Hr. Main, NL. He also has two other brothers: a William Terry, living in Hr. Main; and a Michael Terry, living in Edmonton, AB (originally from Avondale). There were also two sisters: Veronica Costello (Terry), from Avondale, NL, living in Edmonton, AB; and another sister, Mary Julia (deceased) 1935, at the age of 18 years. From the name Ronald W. Terry is where my husband got his name, Ronald Joseph Terry. Hope this little bit of information is of some benefit to you. Submitted By: NULL
