Hard Winter on Change Islands
Enclosed you will find a small picture of a big storm with Mr. LeDrew shovelling his way to the hen house. Everyone I show this picture to is amazed. This is in Change Islands, Newfoundland, where I lived all the years of my childhood. How did I get so far away from Newfoundland? I joined the Air Force when the war was on and that’s where I met the man I married, so here I stayed. Life goes on with all its changes, now I live in a senior’s residence, an excellent place, lots of trees, a lake, good food, it couldn’t be better. I wonder if the picture will interest you. I do look forward to the Downhomer every month, it’s like a visit from home to me.
