Happy Mother’s Day Mother
In my mother's face I see her past. A Labrador seamstress sewing, designing while telling stories.
In my mother's face I see her present. Her mind lost and confused in her own memories. I often blink back my tears as she asks, "Who are you?" I bend to whisper in her ear, "I am your daughter." She doesn't know who I am anymore, but I know who she is. She's my mother.
