Grandma’s Flowers
At Grandma's house her flowers bloom
Not in their pots throughout the rooms
But on the walls for all to see
Like jewels across the shining sea.
Her garden grows from day to day,
Little buds show off in their display.
The pride she shows upon her face
When strangers say "I like your place"
Grows ever stronger as she looks
Upon the flowers in their nooks.
Although her garden is sheltered inside,
She knows they have felt the weather outside,
The bending with the winds of life
The water not from rain but tears
It goes with growing up in years.
As she watches her flowers blooming
They smile strong and keep on growing
For Grandma's flowers are children, grandchildren
and great-grandchildren
Who love her so.
