Grandma Rides a Motorcycle
A picture of my grandmother and me. My dad and I travelled to NL after visiting all the eastern provinces last summer. We were both riding Boulevard C90T Suzuki's - it was my dad's first time riding at the age of 62 years. We stopped in Botwood to visit my dad's family, where he is originally from and left there in 1962. I am enclosing the picture of my grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Elliott, and myself. It was her first bike ride at the age of 88 years. She just sat on the bike for pictures and decided she wanted to tour Botwood for her first ride. Considering she wore her first pair of jeans about four years ago, it was sure a big step for her to go for a bike ride. My dad, by the way, is Howard Elliott and grew up in Botwood and still loves to visit NL. I think I have the coolest grandmother who is willing to try almost anything. We both enjoy your magazine.
