Grandma
"Grandma sat and rocked today, As she looked toward the door. Whilst I enjoyed our visit, As I did many times before. Today she'll tell me stories, Of things I cannot see. But only can imagine, How rich her life could be. Her deep blue eyes still sparkle, As her stories she will share. Of times that brought her joy, And times that brought despair. She lived here for a lifetime, Raised sons and daughters four. Shed many tears in silence, As each passed through the door. With all her children gone now, Raising families of their own. Their visits aren't as often, Grandma sometimes feels alone. Since grandpa went to heaven, My visits now are more. As we sit and chat for hours, Grandma looks towards the door." Submitted By: NULL
