This photo was taken in 1928. I was sixteen months old and was staying at 162 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's, NL. My father was a supervisor in the Newfoundland Post office, north of Sydney. He was transferred there by the British post and telegraph following the first world war. He met my mother, Vivian Gallop and they were married in 1923. I was born in North Sydney in 1927. In 1928 my mother, brother Jack and I went to visit my grand parents, Sara and John Williams, who lived at 162 Hamilton Ave, St. John's. My father's account of the first picture is of me running across the Governo's lawn. I was supposed to be attending a birthday party. Grandfather's sister, my great aunt, worked for the Governor.   Submitted By: NULL
