It took Him six long days to create,
A vast and beautiful land,
On the seventh day - his masterpiece
The Island of Newfoundland.

His plan to create perfection,
In every rock and tree,
He gave to her the best he had,
What a jewel she would be.

He smiled when he was finished,
She was something to behold.
He blessed her with immeasurable wealth,
She was worth her weight in gold.

Her people had to be special,
So before he took a rest,
He gathered up all of his flock,
And chose the very best.

He surrounded her with an ocean,
That protects her to this day,
God watches over his masterpiece,
Where his angels go to play.
