Geo-Caching in Rattling Brook
My husband, Darren, and I, along with our two children, Lesley Anne and Ryan spend a good part of our summer holidays travelling around the Island and camping at various parks. They are already anxiously awaiting the time when we can pack up and hit the road. One of their favorite parks is Kona Beach. We camp here for a few days and explore the surrounding areas. Last summer, we spent time out around the Springdale area and did some geo-caching with my brother, Rene. One of our favorite days started with finding an easy geo-cache around the gas station and craft shop on the highway by the Springdale turnoff. We then continued the afternoon with a sight-seeing trip to Rattling Brook and walked up the trail to the base of the Falls. On the trail we found another geo-cache. Finally, at the top of the Trail, we took in some breathtaking scenery and pictures, then headed back down. The day ended with a campfire at the park. What a perfect day! Submitted By: NULL
