My husband Kevin Harnett and I (Pat) were visiting in Newfoundland a few years back and decided to take the trip to St. Mary's Seabird Ecological Reserve. We were certainly not disappointed. What a wonderful spot. I took a photo of a rock so covered in birds it looked white instead of brown. In looking at the picture after and zooming in on the birds we saw the wonderful sight of gannets huddled around their young. I have been meaning to share this with the magazine for a while and finally got around to sending this in. We so love this shot - it is framed and on our wall at home.

My husband Kevin is from Kitty's Brook and we try to get down home as often as possible to visit the Harnett families in Campbellton and Lewisporte and the Ford families in Jackson's Arm. Hope this shot makes it into the calendar.
