My wife Brenda and I have been travelling to Newfoundland for the last 13 or so years to visit our very good friends Joan and Roland Loughlin. They even put up with our son, who decided to join us this year after hearing about our many adventures. His favourite part of the trip was golfing at Humber Valley Resort. He said it was one of the most beautiful courses he had ever been at. Each year the Loughlins try to plan a different outing for us. This has resulted in us seeing most of Newfoundland. To say the least we are very impressed with your province - so much so that we have even looked at buying a summer home there. This last summer, Joan and Roland took us to visit a small town which could only be reached by boat. We visited Francois and fell in love with this little place. The people there were so inviting and kind, and the bed and breakfast at Doris and George Fudge's home was fantastic. We had the most wonderful time, and the food was great. While there, I took many pictures. I have attached one of my favourites. This picture I entered in the photo section of our summer provincial exhibition in Armstrong, British Columbia. This fair is attended by over 100,000 people in a five-day period, so it is quite large. To my amazement, it won first prize. Thought you might like to see it. I have framed the picture and sent it to the Fudges with the ribbon. I look forward to our next trip, and wonder how the Loughlins will top what they have shown us so far.
