From Whence These Lines?

From Whence These Lines?

From Whence These Lines?

This is the first time I have seen
A slightly bare and colorful pair
Go wildly past and hang out there
And pulse away like a heartbeat rare

It's not that we can't see the end
Where things will end is oh so futile
We can't it seems turn things around
So think about that for a while

It's not that we don't think it right
Nor see the fault so plainly clear
When we stand and be so counted
We had better do it right next year

I think it right that we should take
A step towards a brighter star
And then when ready hit the brakes
For do we not see so afar

These ramblings may thus end in chaos
With not a shred of order found
But thus say I who really cares
In time it thus leaves me spellbound

These lines just potted into my head
And try as I might they make no sense
From where they come I do not know
These ramblings appearing so intense

John Cornick
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Some free wheeling rhyming lines that Just popped into my head so I jotted them down. Try as I might I can make no sense of their meaning. Maybe in time. Submitted By: John Cornick
