Sitting next to the lighthouse, upon Cape Spear
Looking down on the cannons, that still lay there

Protected this land, and the waterway
Thank God for our veterans. We're free today.

The cry of an eagle, from the heavens above
Through piercing eyes, seeking the fish they love

Wind in the pines, as they dance around
Humpback whales, in their feeding grounds

Across blue waters, stands Signal Hill
Cabot Tower and cannons, are quiet and still
