Fishy Story
This picture was taken on the wharf in Baie de Verde, Conception Bay this past August. This is my grandaughter Dakota Tucker on her first visit to Newfoundland. This fisherman had just got in with his catch and was happy to let us take some pictures. Dakota had never seen a codfish, as you can see she wasn't sure what to think. I wanted her to kiss the cod - but no way. Very friendly guy (as most Newfoundlanders are). Anyway he gave us the fish, which we took home and ate. Dakota ate codfish for the first time. Thanks to the fisherman, I never got his name. Dakota did a lot of things for the first time while we were in Newfoundland but loved every minute of it. Submitted By: Garfield Tucker
