A man from Ontario visits Newfoundland, and runs into a Newfoundlander at a local bar. Looking at the Newfoundlander, he asks, “How come you Newfies think you are so smart?" The Newfoundlander's response was, “We eat lots of fish b’y, lots of it. Tell you what give me $35 and I'll get me wife to cook you up the best fish you ever tasted in your life. The Mainlander hauls the money out of his pocket and places it in the Newfie’s hand. The next day the Mainlander went to the Newfie’s house. Afterwards, the Mainlander tries to make a point, and says “That was a great meal of fish, but isn’t it a little expensive since I didn’t get to eat at a restaurant?” The newfie quickly responds with wit saying, “Right b’y, see, you are getting smarter after all!"   Submitted By: Vicki Howell
