Feeling at home in New York City
My sister and I took a pleasure trip to New York City in May of this year. Our mother was scheduled to go with us however just before our trip she became ill and was unable to travel with us. We really wanted her to share the New York experience so we enlarged a picture of her head to life-size and took her to New York with us ! She had many experiences on her travels. She was photographed inside of a NYPD police cruiser, lovingly gazed upon by a NY firefighter and viewed the beautiful NY skyline from the top of the Empire State Building. The highlight of her/our trip was attending the Broadway show Come from Away We carried our NL flags and Downhome magazine and met the cast members after the show. The one question from all the cast was did we do you proud And of course, they had ! In this picture are, two proud Newfoundlanders with our photo mom and of course our dowmhome magazine, standing outside the Come From Away theatre in beautiful New York City! Everyone should experience this. Submitted By:
