Family trip to Bulgaria
This was when we were in Bulgaria in March visiting family. We visited the "Rila Monastery" in which the photos were taken. It is very beautiful. It’s one of the oldest monasteries in all of Europe. You can see all the artwork on the walls to the entrance of this monastery as you were not allowed to take pictures inside. The colours and details of the religious pictures covering the walls and ceilings were unbelievable. The monks were dressed in black as at that time as it was during lent. I did take a picture of my kids eating donuts that the monks made and sold. It was just like a toutin with honey! Submitted By: NULL
