Faces
Sending this little poem I wrote, hope you can use it some time. I sure love your magazine. Happy to see Lucy in the books again. Much luck in the future.
Faces
There are faces, faces in my mind
Faces I’ll remember, remember for all time
Like the face of my darling as he
Waited at the altar
Like the face of my son and my one
And only daughter
Faces, faces stay with me
Like the face of my father as
He set off for sea
Like the face of my mother as she
Scanned the distant shore
The face of her sorrow, cause he
Won't be home no more
Faces, faces etched upon my heart
Their faces are part of me
With which I’ll never part
Their faces are the treasure
I’ll see on that heavenly shore
Where the faces that I love will
Be with me forever more
