Here is a nine month old elephant who is being raised at this shelter in Nairobi National Park, Kenya, until he is ready to be returned to the wild-usually around 3 years of age. His mother was likely a victim of poachers, so he is one of many who are lucky enough to be rescued and brought here to survive.
