Eagles Out To Lunch
In your February magazine on page 12/13 in the section "notes from home - have you heard"... Bald Eagle Population Increasing....you have it as Sheffield Mills, New Brunswick, and I believe this is incorrect and should read Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia. Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia is located here in Annapolis Valley, just north of Kentville, NS, or just west of Canning, NS. I have enclosed an email from my neighbours (who are spending their first winter in Nova Scotia after moving from Mount Pearl). They were out to view them a short while ago where they feed on the few chickens that, for whatever reason, die overnight in the many chicken barns located in the valley. The farmers give them to the eagles and don't charge them a cent! Tom Green (Formally from St. Anthony) Coldbrook, NS From: Don Rowe Here's a picture; we saw them on our anniversery! Come every Jan. and Feb. month to Sherfield Mills, which is 10 minutes away! Beautiful they were indeed! Jean & Pat were with us yesterday. Submitted By: NULL
