These were Grade 5 students from Durrell's Academy (Twillingate). Taken on French Beach in 1955. When I was teaching in Twillingate, I taught a Grade 7 class for 2 months; Grades 9, 10 & 11 for two months; and six months with a Grade 5 class. At the end of the school year I took the Grade 5 students for a picnic to French Beach. Grades 9, 10 & 11 were at the United Church Central School and the rest were at Durrell's Academy, which is now a winery.
