Dear Downhome: Our April 10th, 2010 Downhome issue put on a few miles last April, and as far as I know, the issue is still on the move on your fair isle. I am pictured on my right with my wife Marilyn, and on the left is our son Jeffery, along with his beautiful wife Jennifer Gillard (nee Hancock), formerly from Bide Arm, Newfoundland. This picture was taken in April of last year, at the Bahia Principe Rivera Maya Resort in Mexico. I had our local post office redirect our mail from our home town of Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to our winter retreat in Florida. I used April's issue as my reading material on our flight from Florida to Mexico, and then Jeffery and Jennifer used the magazine as their reading material on their trip from Mexico to their home in Ft. McMurray, Alberta. The Downhome was then given to Jennifer's parents, Graham and Nellie Hancock from Bide Arm, NL, who were visiting them in Ft. McMurray, and they in turn used the magazine as their reading material on their return trip back to Newfoundland. "Good reading material should always be on the move."
