I live in Edmonton but was born and grew up in Buchans. I had my Downhome magazine with me when we traveled to Iceland and France this fall. My wife took this photo when we were in Bordeaux. It is a city of just over a million. A great place for tourists, it is one of the most bike-and-pedestrian-friendly cities I have ever seen. It is also the centre of the Bordeaux wine trade. In one retail wine store, we saw a bottle of red that sold for 348 euros. We didn't buy it, but I wondered how it might go with a feed of salt beef and cabbage.   Submitted By: Rayfield Rideout
