Lt to rt. Lena Noftall, Barbara Mercer and Marie Alexander from Stephenville/ Kippens NL with their Downhome magazine on a trip to Europe Sept 2014. This picture was taken at Pompeii, Italy. Pompeii was founded in approximately 6th century BC. In 79 Ad Mount Vesuvius erupted and buried the city with most of its 11000 residents. It was discovered in the 1700,s and excavation began and still continues today. Much of it is pretty well preserved. It is an amazing site to visit.   Submitted By: Lena Noftall
