Downhome in Stockholm, Sweden
Good day. On Halloween 2022, we were in Stockholm, Sweden and visited the ABBA Museum. My mom gave me a copy of Downhome to read on the flight over, and asked me to get her pics with the magazine in it. This museum, along with the Vasa, are well worth the visits. Surprisingly, they do not have any celebrations, other than house costume parties, for Halloween. My grandmother was from a small outport called Grand Bruit, on the South West Coast of Newfoundland. My sister lived there for 30+ years, until it closed about 10 years ago. I still get back to the isolated community about once a year, as many people have camps there and fishermen still use it during lobster season. It is a beautiful peaceful place to visit. Whenever I visited, they always had a stack of DownHomer or Downhome magazines to read. Thanking you, Zane Fraser and Donna Kean Dartmouth, NS
