On Sept. 11/08 the Happy Valley Minor Soccer Association contingent of 33 players, boys and girls, along with 22 adults departed to London, England for a Soccer Experience Tour. The week consisted of many soccer related events which were enjoyed by all. The culmination of the tour was a riding bus tour of London. This photo was taken outside the gates of Buckingham palace with Downhome magazine September 2008 edition proudly displayed. Just a note to readers: The group of kids spent nine months on a fundraising blitz of the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area which saw a successful completion of raising $80,000.00 to make the trip a reality.
