This is a picture of my friends from Pachuca, 45 minutes north of Mexico City. They work with me in Calgary, AB for eight months of the year. This year in January I decided to visit them. My friends and their family and friends could not believe that I came all the way from Canada to visit them. They made sure to tell thier family and friends that I was from an island in the ocean called Newfoundland where very friendly people live. My friends Baltazar and Padro took me on a 1,400 km adventure round trip through the mountains and jungle to the Gulf of Mexico to a shipping port of Veracruz. On our return to the City of Mexico we happened upon the ruins of Teotihuacan. That's when I decided to take a picture for the Downhome with my friends. I told them that they could possibly have their pics in the magazine. Excited I know. Now their mission is to visit Newfoundland with their friend Mr. John in the near future. They agreed to do the Screech-in on George St. Travelling in Mexico with great friends is a blast. Now it's my duty to introduce them to the island, people, and culture of NL.
