Ditty Dedicated to Dave
My husband Dave Power is from Conche, NL and I'm an Alberta girl. After he took me to his hometown for the first time I wrote this poem for him.
This my dear is a little ditty
Written for Dave by his wife and kiddies
We'd like to say thanks and let him know
It was great to see the place where ye did grow
The fishin' and fireworks were so much fun
We nearly laughed our butts off me son
There was food like cod, squid and touton
And beautiful scenery with the moose, ocean and mountains
All the people we met were fun and caring
Singing and dancing with accordions blaring
So thank you again for a trip full of fun
It was great to see where you came from me son.
