Dipping Caplin in Leading Tickles, Newfoundland, 2009
I remember seeing all this when I was a child, but didn't know that caplin came in such large schools. It was amazing to see the people being so excited about the "caplin run." The seashore looked like a silver lining, flashing in the sunlight. It was an era of our ancestors that our children of today can experience, and knowing it was once a reality of survival, another meal for the table.
