Destiny
What will be our destiny? What will be our fate? When there is so much to live for Why is there so much hate? Today a life is given Tomorrow it's taken away Must we live forever Under the clouds of yesterday? So many battles have been won So many have been lost Good men have died for freedom For what, Oh Lord, I ask? Must we live forever In distrust and fear Wondering if our neighbours Will take our lives next year? The love, the fear, the hate we see Is it too much to ask To settle our petty jealousies And forget about the past? Pray tell me Oh Lord, pray with me The purpose of your construction What future is there for mankind That's bent on self-destruction? These questions can be answered The problems we must face Has man become his own worst foe? He must destroy the human race C. George Barham Submitted By: NULL
