Depressive Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas Our cupboards were bare Our parents were not optimistic That Santa would come by here Children had earlier said their goodnight Oblivious to their parents dread and sad plight How would they deal with Christmas morning sorrow? What would they have for dinner tomorrow? At midnight they were about to retire for their nap When on the porch door was heard a gentle tap On opening the door, they saw lying there A big box of goodies and Christmas cheer Our family that Christmas was saved from distress By some good Samaritan, the Spirit of Christmas The naysayers, skeptics and doubters are all false > For, yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus Charles Beckett Submitted By: NULL
