There was bare ground here and there at first and these deer were out foraging for food. One day I counted seventeen deer. I enjoy the Downhome; a neighbour gave me a few copies to read and I was hooked. This is my second year as a subscriber. I was brought up in Baie Verte, New Brunswick - Route 16, on the way to the Confederation Bridge and PEI, about 25 minutes to Nova Scotia. I live in Oshawa, Ontario and go home often, for I love the old home place. I want to visit Newfoundland and Labrador one day; my son has been there, and also a few friends, and they tell me how beautiful it is and also the people. I was home in February 2008 and was able to get a few pictures. Your magazine reminds me of a lot of things while growing up in New Brunswick.
