Dark Mountains
Dark Mountains
While we sit here hands together
And gaze into each other's eyes
Our lives fast fade into starlight
Mingled together in distant skies
Where the Dark Mountains enfold us
And roll to the sea in endless motion
I have fine thoughts of you my darling
Enough to fill an entire ocean
Can you think of a place in our universe
More fitting for our gaze to enfold
Than these shores so dear to our hearts
These scenes are akin to pure gold
Your eyes they shine most all the time
With love light so edifying
If ever I should loose you my darling
It won't be for my lack of trying
We stood on a NL beach together
Singing songs for our favourite isle
There is none other so endowed
As this fair land by many a mile
Take care that your time be well preserved
Til we once more embrace each other
That time so very well deserved
Under the lovely foliage cover
And if perchance while I'm away
You tend to sip of other lips
Take care as true love indeed may
Fade away while you're at play
