Dear Editor, <br /> <br /> It was early February when I received a facebook message from a good friend of mine saying they had just read my article in the Downhome Magazine entitled, "Danger On The Ice". She said she had enjoyed reading it and made the following comment, "You must have been some cold bye. Glad things worked out the way they did". Yes, COLD is an understatement , and I was surely scared to death for sure.<br /> <br /> At this point I had just received my copy of Downhome in the mail, so filled with excitement, I quickly browsed through it, and there it was on page 129. Needless to say I was pleased that you had published it, and at the same time pleasantly surprised, as I did not know it before hand. February month was definitely a timely issue to publish it. It was also fitting to include it beside another article entitled, "I'm Going To Die", by Victoria Flaherty, both combined under one main heading entitled, ";On Thin Ice" - nicely done.<br /> <br /> This week I was pleased to receive the $20.00 Coupon in the mail for the submission, to purchase product from the Downhome Shoppe - thank you very much.<br /> <br /> I've submitted other articles and now with this one published, it has given me incentive to write and submit more. I have many memorable stories / events to share of my childhood days growing up in small town Newfoundland.<br /> <br /> I'm always excited when I go to the mailbox and find my new issue of Downhome Magazine. I enjoy reading the many interesting articles, and trying to solve the many challenging puzzles.<br /> <br /> Keep up the great work!!
