Colour and Character
A recent series of family event brought me back to Newfoundland after 17 years on the prairies. While en route to my home city of St. John's my wife and I visited her family in Frederickton. Not long after I arrived in the community I was excited to see the area and the beautiful Newfoundland landscape. There was so much to see that I drove passed these two colorful dorys twice without even seeing them. I have always loved the colours and character of wooden boats in Newfoundland and nowadays I jump at the chance to photograph them whenever I can. I guess I always will. Submitted By: David Brophy
