Collin’s Cove
On Jan. 1st, 1929, we arrived in Toronto from Stepaside on Burin Island, Nfld. My father and mother left their home, friends and family to give my brother Rennie and I a better life in a new country, Canada. My father also gave up his quarter share in a schooner, their home and his way of life of fishing and woodworking. He was 55 years old.
Years ago, my brother Rennie started working on the Wagg family tree. The photo comes from his research. (He passed away a few years ago.)
Taken from Collin's Cove - Stepaside in the distance.
We hope this old picture brings back a lot of memories for many people.
