My great-great grandmother is Susannah Porter (nee Cole). She married Caleb Porter and had two children, Archibald and Susan. Susannah died from TB, three months after Susan (my great-grandmother) was born in 1903. I have been feverishly looking for a photo of Susannah Porter. Her parents were Thomas Cole Sr. and Susannah Williams. Her siblings were John Cole, Richard Cole (who witnessed her marriage), Robert Cole, Maria Cole and Elizabeth Ann Cole. John Cole married Laura Jones and they lived in Point of Bay. Robert Cole married Lucy Ann Porter. Richard Cole, unsure who he married..possibly an Edith. Maria Cole married Obediah Wall. Elizabeth Ann Cole – I do not know who she married or if she married. Susannah’s daughter Susan may have lived with John and Laura from time to time when she was growing up. I am looking to connect with Coles from Point of Bay. As I mentioned, I have been searching for a photo of Susannah. It has been difficult because she died so young and there may not be any photos of her. I know there also was a fire at Caleb Porter’s house and any photos he may have had of her would have burned up. I would love to hear from any Coles out there who may have pictures of Susannah. Perhaps you are a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of one of the Coles mentioned above and perhaps you have old pictures that belonged to Susannah’s siblings. I would love to hear from you!
