Probably the last employees of the Commercial Cable Company, which ran the under-ocean cables across the Atlantic, and also to Sable Island and New York. I am pretty sure all those in the picture were the last employees of that company in St. John's. I am missing, as most likely I, and a couple more, had to work that night. PS: Pretty sure that the first two rows of employees have now gone to their final resting place, since I was only in my twenties or early thirties, and am now 76.   Submitted By: NULL
