Church Lads' Brigade<br /> <br /> In 1992 the Church Lads' Brigade (CLB) celebrated their 100th Anniversary. The Brigade originated in England in 1891 aand was introduced into NL through the efforts of Mr. Harold Rowe Blackler of St. Johns in 1892, and supported by the then Lord Bishop of Newfoundland, the RT Reverend Llewellyn Jones. It has flourished to today, throught good times and bad, and has played an important role in the civic life of the province. Many of it's members served in the Royal Newfoundland Regiment during the Great War of 1914-1918 and in the War of 1939-1945.
