Christmas Moose
It was a moonlit Christmas Eve In by the Camp, cold, not a breeze And in the quiet midnight air With all around the country clear A moose walked by the way He walked the pathway to the door And looked around at Camp and Store He noticed chopping block and pile And mystified by it a while The moose walked on his way He walked along up to the hill And in the air so cold and still He stopped and looked up at the sky And saw a brighter light on high A star there in the east He never thought as humans do No philosophy to pursue But he was part of this fine night And these things were within his sight The moose walked on his way Submitted By: wayne taylor
