Christmas Long Ago
Taken in Bay L'Argent, NL, Christmas 1956. This is a picture of my oldest sister, Gloria (Pike) Jackman; my second oldest sister, Beryl (Pike) Laplante; and myself, Charlene (Pike) Peverill. I was born on Nov. 1, 1956; so I would have been not quite two months old here. Five years later my mom had another girl, my youngest sister Edie. Unfortunately my mom died during childbirth, so this picture was soon to be replaced with pictures of a single dad, raising daughters. It's the only picture that I have of myself as an infant, and obviously special to me for many reasons - none of those reasons being that butt-ugly wallpaper. Maybe we should all be thankful that it's not in colour. Merry Christmas! Submitted By: NULL
